“Kristall & Isa” is a very complicated and intelligent album, but it’s bad quality of sound destroys the whole atmosphere. It has 6 songs all written in Swiss language, and therefore you must learn it, otherwise you won’t get the meaning of lyrics.

First song is the best track from this album, it’s fast, very rhythmic, and very melodic. Im not sure do I really hear it, but it seems that some weird organ effects are added to the music and they force us to imagine some kind of space filled with black holes and dead stars. It’s like a portal to the underworld or astral projection.

Second song starts with strange sound which can be compared to pushing the play button in some mono player or even changing some back effect tape. Anyways, irritating noises.are all the time. Later the song speeds up and then it’s possible to hear some keyboards again. Melody makes effect of climbing walls off sounds and at the top of this mountain it meets the semi-acoustic guitar which calms the aggression. The whole thing is finished with loud waves of keyboards.

Next track is a quite short message played on keyboard as intro for the fourth track. This one is very fast and aggressive, vocals spit with blood and guitars are brutal. I wonder what kind of lyrics it has because the storm lasts long, till the last track. Again space with some strange noises and blowing wind. The last track is haunted with this blowing wind, which howls  among mountains in the coldests places in the world. It’s freezing atmosphere is really amazing.

Overall, Paysage d’hiver put some very negative, black powers in this album, but the sound quality destroys the whole. That’s one of reasons why I give it only 75%.
