Cursed by Eternal Agony is extreme, aggressive and brutal black metal. Especially the title song emanates with pure hatred. After the introductory sounds of war vanish, the first song takes off striking the ear with pretty good riff. The drumming is also a plus for Natt. Unlike other new bands that use drum machines, Natt have a real drummer, Scytodes, whose work is well crafted. Another advantage is a good production, which is not common in underground bm demos. Overall, this release has some good moments which may foreshadow the success of the full-length, but at the same time it lacks of something. Vocals are hateful but boring in the long run (Damnare sometimes reminds Abbath’s voc). Riffs are heavy and sometimes really not bad but they fall into standards. Even though the sound is clear and recording is perhaps professional, the whole somehow suffers from being too readable and simple. Even the variety of songs is not yet the thing we would expect. Still, this isn’t a bad album and for someone who likes primitive bm it’ll be ok. It should be finally mentioned that it is a good forerunner of the full length.
